Chris is our UK chief storyteller and CEO. He started his career working as a reporter on national and lifestyle media before moving into the world of business journalism. Chris is a business storytelling director at the Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM) and at Tech UK, and is the founder and CEO of the Berkeley Storytelling Academy and the Berkeley Communications Group.

Creative director

Matt has 30 years’ experience developing brands and communication strategies across a wide range of industries. An experienced creative director with a passion for typography and branding, Matt’s mission is to inject storytelling and creativity into every client project.

Michael Matthews

Senior graphic designer

Michael champions creativity and bold ideas, joining the dots between visual media and compelling stories to help our clients in their pursuit of communications goals. With over 20 years agency experience, Michael has worked across retail and B2B sectors, designing digital and print solutions for a diverse range of clients.

Isabella is a storyteller, story finder and communication scientist with a degree in yodelling. Specialising in brand storytelling, content creation, media relations, event organisation and feel good management, she has worked both in-house and in agencies, primarily in the IT/tech environment, and has been involved in several award-winning and award-nominated campaigns.

Povel has evangelised the corporate storytelling approach in a multitude of different communications scenarios, both as an external agency consultant and in in-house roles for major global brands. His passion is contagious and he uses a mix of award-winning case studies from his own eclectic career to educate about the core components of the business storytelling process.

Alysha is skilled at teasing out and crafting emotionally resonant stories that cut to a brand’s core. With over 16 years of experience in communications, she holds a master’s degree in PR and marketing, and has worked in-house and as a consultant, writer and strategist for global and national brands in the finance, energy, healthcare and tech industries.

Kate Bartholomew

Kate is a content specialist with over 20 years’ experience in the communications sector, overseeing content-led projects for PR, marketing, web, social and video, among others. With a keen eye for detail and a love for turning data into compelling content, she knows what it takes to create an engaging story and how to set a strategy for success.
